When: Every Saturday
Who: Anyone in our family - even the beagle
What: Involves about 20 minutes of the whole family dancing to a few fun, dancing songs.
Why: To establish a new family tradition. And seriously - who can't enjoy the day after rocking out to "Steal My Sunshine" or slow dancing to "Lady in Red" or watching Elisabeth get her groove on for "The Happy Little Working Song" from Enchanted.
Attire: Pajamas. Sunglasses optional.
How fun! We do something similar at our house. Because of our dance sessions (and Blake's instruction), Garrett knows how to do the monkey, the robot, and any number of LDS church youth dance moves (ie: apple picking or fishing or dish washing to the beat). It's so fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, I was hoping to see something from you today. Dance time is my favorite time with the family too :)
ReplyDeleteWe recently added XM radio to our kitchen. We listen to music while I cook and clean and dance in between. It takes a lot of stress off in the kitchen and the kids love it.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your posts, Kristi. That sounds like a great tradition.
Dance party! So much fun. We also would be hosting a cute party for our son’s birthday and it will be an indoor bash but not at the home. I am going to book the nearby rental event space. It is going to be a fun family dinner party. We all can’t wait for it now.
